There are three access routes for admission to the third year of the Bachelor of Recreation Management. Students admitted to the third year of the program will have completed at least 60 credits of post-secondary studies in one of the following routes: 1. Graduation with minimum cumulative CGPA of 2.0 from the Diploma in Recreation Leadership at Langara College; 2. Graduation with a minimum cumulative CGPA of 2.0 from a recreation diploma program at another post-secondary institution; 3. The successful completion of at least 60 credits of university-transferable courses with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 combined with related recreation employment, and the successful completion of the required bridging courses. For these applicants, their work experience will be assessed against the core learning outcomes of first- and second-year recreation courses.

Prospective students seeking admission through routes two or three must have completed a minimum of six credits of university-transferrable English or communications coursework and a minimum of three credits of post-secondary-level accounting coursework.

From health wellness to advocacy, recreation professionals provide leadership by creating positive environments for people of all ages to explore their potential, connect to community, increase health and wellness, celebrate cultural traditions, and live meaningful happy lives.



The Recreation Management Program is a degree completion program (third and fourth year of a bachelor's degree) for students who have a recreation diploma or the equivalent, and who are interested in pursuing careers in the Recreation Field. The program is flexible and student-focused and combines a solid foundation in management theory and practical knowledge with specialized courses in recreation.
