DescriptionEnvironmental Studies combines natural and social sciences to better understand the human relationship with the natural environment. You’ll focus on issues such as sustainability in management of land and water, the formulation of environmental policy, and how environmental management decisions can be improved to ensure a healthy future for humans and nature.

At Laurier, the Environmental Studies program is continually seeking new ways to enhance our understanding of the natural world and our place in it. Our professors are actively employed in monitoring threatened plant and animal species, are engaging citizens in environmental science and are working with communities and Indigenous groups to devise better ways of managing land and regional planning, environment and natural resource policy, nature conservation.
