| Description | The Department of Physics offers a research-centred, thesis-based M.Sc. program in physics. The M.Sc. program is oriented towards fundamental and applied research reflecting faculty specialties and expertise. The program offers students advanced research training geared towards continued research work in universities or in the private sector.
Graduates with an M.Sc. in physics can work in various industries (photonics, opto-electronics, semiconductors, biomedical and biophysics, advanced materials, nanotechnology, energy production, flight simulation, aeronautics, space science, engineering, etc.), in teaching (at college or secondary levels, provided that some requirements are met) or governmental positions.
