Prerequisites NotesStudents applying to Bishop’s are expected to have graduated from CEGEP (or equivalent), obtained their DEC and maintained a minimum CRC-score of 24.

Cost estimate is per 30 credits. Please note that a “typical” course will be worth 3 credits and that most students will take 5 courses per semester for a total of 30 credits over one academic year (September to April). Bishop’s also offers a condensed Spring session (May and June).

DescriptionWell, some Bishop’s graduates have pursued careers as scholars, teachers, arts administrators, and composers, as well as performers, both classical and pop. Others have taken their B.A. and gone in a completely different direction. Some students just want to pursue their love of music, without making it a career. So why not major in music, as well as another subject? In addition to our Classical Music Program, the Music Department at Bishop’s University offers an option to those interested in pursuing a career in popular music. This program certain core courses. It is designed to cover both the practical and academic aspects of the contemporary music streams of popular culture.
