Prerequisites NotesTo enter this program, you first need to complete the four-year Bachelor of Music in Music Education [B.Mus.(Mus.Ed.)]. For the Secondary option, you will also need a minimum average of 60% in your Teaching Area 2 classes. Once you've completed the B.Mus.(Mus.Ed.) program, you can apply to the College of Education for the Bachelor of Education - Sequential Music degree. For more information, speak with an advisor in the College of Education.

The Sequential Music program is a two-year program that may be completed after earning a four-year Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education through the College of Arts and Science. To be admitted to the Bachelor of Education - Sequential Music program, apply to the College of Education.

By enrolling in this program, you will gain a richer understanding of the foundations of education; continue to practice your skills in field experiences; and, become proficient in assessment, evaluation, and classroom management.
