Three credits of university-level English
Six credits of university-level course work from anthropology, political science, psychology or sociology
SOWK 240: Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare (or equivalent) with a minimum grade of C-

DescriptionTransform lives in the communities where you live and work. This degree builds on your previous two years of post-secondary education, preparing you to become a registered social worker. Our unique Bachelor of Social Work focuses on the ways social, environmental and economic issues interrelate, and how we all fit into the larger community. Sustainability and social work practice with Indigenous peoples are core to our program. You develop professional practice skills through practicum placements. Upon graduation, you are prepared to work in a diverse range of health, mental health, child and family, community and human service settings.
