DescriptionInternational development studies (IDS) is the study of poverty, inequality and how to create change and make the world a better place to live. Students explore the ethics around what it actually means to provide help to someone living in poverty, as well as best practices in poverty reduction and making a long-term difference in people's lives. Food justice, disaster response, Canadian aid policy, environmental sustainability, armed conflict, disease, and education are examples of topics that IDS touches on.
