Prerequisites Notes | To be considered for admission, a minimum final grade of 65% or the equivalent is required in all university-preparatory courses reviewed. Also required are as follows: English 122/121, Pre-Calculus 12A and Pre-Calculus 12B, one grade-12 level science, and a minimum of two additional grade 12 university-preparatory electives. For students in the Francophone system, FRAN 10411/10421/11411, MATH 31411, MATH 30411B or MATH 30411C, one grade-12 level science, and a minimum of two additional grade 12 university-preparatory electives are required. Description | The Department of Biology at Mount Allison strives to provide students with opportunities for hands-on learning, including research and laboratory experience. First-year courses include studies of introductory organismal and cell biology, as well as biochemistry. In second year, material divides into ecology, genetics and evolution, statistics, and a series of form and function courses.
