Career Description

Shippers and receivers ship, receive and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from an establishment.

Duties May Include

Packing and labelling goods containers / crates and recording the contents, by hand or by computer, overseeing loading / unloading, inspecting and verifying incoming goods; rejecting damaged goods; and unpacking, coding, and routing goods to appropriate storage areas. They also maintain internal record-keeping systems, by hand or by computer, and operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment used to load / unload goods.
