Career Description

Prepare and bake dough for pies, bread, rolls, and batters for muffins, cookies, cakes, icings, and frostings according to recipes or custom orders.

Duties May Include

Bakers perform some or all of the following duties:

Operate machinery;

Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods;

Ensure quality of products;

Determine production schedule for quantity/type of goods to produce;

Oversee sale/merchandising of products;

May hire, train, and supervise staff.
