Completion of secondary school is usually required.

Issue and receive books and library materials
Reshelve books and library materials
Provide interlibrary loans
Maintain classified collections (shelves shift, shelf-read)
Perform circulation functions
Perform routine clerical duties
Handle and maintain library equipment (e.g., microfilm/microfiche readers, large print readers, etc.)
