|Description:||Civil Engineering Technicians carry out technical functions related to a broad range of civil engineering fields including structural, municipal, highway and transportation engineering, water resources, geotechnical engineering, environmental protection and infrastructure rehabilitation.
Students will learn to draw, design and inspect structures in buildings and highways, perform tests on soils and concrete, and survey using the latest equipment. During their second year, they will complete an independent technical report related to civil engineering. Graduates may be employed in construction, mining, or private industry for companies, such as materials testing companies and land surveyors.
