|Brandon University offers a four-year program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (B.Sc.P.N.) which is housed within the Faculty of Health Studies. The program is offered both onsite in Brandon and offsite to students in Winnipeg. Some courses are available by distance study to students enrolled in Campus Manitoba programs. The program combines psychiatric nursing education with studies in Arts and Science. Graduates of the program will be eligible to write the qualifying examinations for licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (R.P.N.) with the
College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM).

If you are currently attending or have graduated from an accredited high school in Manitoba (with no ‘M’, ‘I’ or ‘E’ courses), you will be given a conditional Offer of Admission once we receive your application, non-refundable application fee and high school marks.

|Upon successful completion of the required Pre Psychiatric Nursing courses, students can apply and will be considered for acceptance into the BScPN program. Entry into the program is on a competitive basis. There are generally more applicants to the program than there are available seats. GPA (Grade Point Average) in the Pre Psychiatric Nursing courses will be the primary criterion for admission.
