The course of study is comprised of an initial core year after which students may select one of five program majors: Performance, Production, Composition, Songwriting and Directed Studies. The curriculum includes individual instruction on guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, violin, vocals and keyboards, as well as a solid grounding in music theory and ear training. Individual and ensemble instruction and practice is offered throughout both years of the program. Rock and blues, jazz, folk and world music are the primary instructional styles.
