Occupational health nurses work to improve, manage, and implement programs that support employee health. They collaborate with leaders, employees, community stakeholders, and health and safety professionals to support workplace health.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  •  Grade12 English 
Applicants must have English 12 (B) and English language proficiency.
Additional Admission Requirements:
  • Work Experience
Applicants to Specialty Nursing Certificate courses should have a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of relevant work experience. Exceptions may be granted for undergraduate students taking entry level theory courses. However, a resume of work experience may be required to progress in the program. If you have questions about whether your work experience qualifies, please contact the Program Head.
