Description:The Division of Medical Laboratory Science in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta offers both a versatile, four-year professional degree program in Medical Laboratory Science (students acquire both general certification from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science and a BSc in Medical Laboratory Science), and a degree-completion program for technologists with general certification from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science. The program is designed to provide a broad and well-rounded education to meet the demand in public and private labs for more highly qualified laboratory personnel.

The four-year professional degree program is a fully integrated program consisting of a preprofessional year followed by three years in the Division of Medical Laboratory Science.
