Description: | The M.A. in Theological Studies is dedicated to the rational and rigorous study of monotheistic religions and the nature of religious truths. Students investigate the connections between religious experience and human society. They reflect on their own understanding of the human person and the existence and nature of the divine. The program emphasizes the systematic study of Christian revelation as it pertains to God’s nature and purpose, as well as other monotheistic traditions.
M.A. students explore a wide range of contemporary research methodologies and philosophies. Five areas of concentration are offered: scripture or biblical studies, history of Christianity or historical theology, doctrine or systematic theology, Christian ethics or ethical theology, pastoral theology. |
