Description:Centennial College's Health Informatics Technology program combines knowledge of both software engineering and health care systems. In this advanced technology diploma program's courses, you learn to design, develop and maintain the next generation of electronic health records applications and many other exciting software products.

Under the umbrella of the School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science, this program covers: Object-oriented software design methodologies, User-oriented interface design, The structure of health care information systems, Telehealth, Clinical workflow and IT solutions, Data security, Privacy issues within health care systems.

This course will be offered as a hybrid model, meaning at least one course requires you to come onto campus to complete lab work. For some hybrid programs, the fall semester can be completed online if you cannot travel to Canada. This course will also be asynchronous online, meaning you can access and engage with the course material anytime, anywhere, each week.

Applicants are required to have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older); English Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent (minimum grade required) or take the Centennial College English Skills Assessment for Admission (score of 170 or 171 is required for admission); and Mathematics Grade 11 M or U, or 12 C or U, or equivalent (minimum grade required) or take a Centennial College Engineering Math Skills Assessment for Admission.
