Description:Our Architectural Technology Fast-Track program allows qualified graduates with a university degree in architecture (including those from foreign universities) to gain direct admission into the third semester of the three-year Architectural Technology program and receive their diploma in four academic semesters. This Fast-Track program is primarily aimed at internationally-trained professionals seeking knowledge of North American construction practice and language.

In this engineering program, you will use state-of-the-art computer technology to prepare designs, construction drawings, specifications and reports needed to communicate with clients, builders and approval authorities. Activities include preparing drawings for commercial, institutional, complex and multi-use buildings. You are also introduced to building materials, construction methods, structural design, mechanical and electrical services, building codes, contracts, specifications and the business environment for providing design and construction.

Admission Requirements

Additional Admission Requirements:
    Applicants are required to have a University degree in architecture.

    Co-op requirements: Minimum of 80% of courses completed from year one, A minimum C (60%) grade in COMM-170/171, A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (this must be maintained for the duration of the program), Students must be legally eligible to work in Canada, Students who meet the above prerequisites will apply to transfer to the co-op program as scheduled, Note: Meeting the minimum co-op program requirements does not guarantee admission into the co-op program.
