Description:The Auto Body Repair Techniques Program is a one-year program that opens the doors to an entry-level career in the auto body industry – even if you have no previous experience. This program is based on the level 1 apprenticeship curriculum, with some valuable additions that lead to a Centennial College certificate. In the Auto Body Repair Techniques courses, you will acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to ensure you have a competitive edge in the auto body repair field. Once you complete your studies, you will have the opportunity to gain credit towards your apprenticeship requirements.

Among covered topics are: Personal & Shop Safety; Vehicle & Body Construction; Detailing & Refinishing Equipment Maintenance; Applied Mechanical Systems; Mathematics; Communication Skills; Trade Tools & Shop Equipment; Non-Structural Repair Fundamentals; Refinishing Surface Preparation; and Oxyacetylene & Gas Metal Arc Welding. You will spend about 40 percent of your schedule gaining hands-on practice in a spacious, state-of-the-art auto body lab outfitted with new equipment, learning from faculty members with years of industry experience who are committed to seeing you succeed and to helping you maximize your skills.

Centennial College expects students applying for admission to certificate or diploma programs to present at minimum: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent or be 19 years of age or older. Possession of minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to program. Academic Requirements: compulsory English Grade 12 Workplace (E), College (C), or University (U), or equivalent or take the Centennial College English Skills Assessment for Admission
