In Alberta’s only midwifery degree program, students work with faculty and practising midwives to blend theory with practice while providing care to childbearing individuals and their families. This degree prepares you to become a primary-care provider in the growing field of midwifery. Graduates are prepared to write the Canadian Midwifery Registration Examination (CMRE) and become registered midwives.

Prerequisites:*	These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Grade12 Biology Grade12 English Grade12 Mathematics Grade12 Chemistry Mount Royal has institutional admission requirements which must be met to be considered for admission into our academic programs. Once you have applied and we have received all of your supporting documentation, the Admissions Office will determine your admission category.

Application Notes :	All applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency if their primary or first language (meaning the main language learned and used as a child) is not English.
Additional Admission Requirements:	Selected applicants will be invited for an interview that will assess the qualities deemed important in a prospective health professional such as communication and critical thinking skills.
