Description: | Are you passionate about social and environmental change, enjoy working with groups, wish you could help connect people to services and opportunities in their community? Then the Community Development Work Program is for you!
This program will prepare you for an interdisciplinary field working with groups experiencing marginalization. You will build skills in critical thinking in matters of social justice, anti-oppressive practice, sustainable development, community engagement, community asset-mapping, fundraising, team building, collaborative leadership, project management, research and project evaluation, and much more.
This course will be synchronous online, meaning classes are delivered during a specific timeslot in the week. You're expected to come together online at the same time each week to engage in your studies. The course will also be asynchronous online, meaning you can access and engage with the course material anytime, anywhere, each week. |
