Description: | Centennial College’s Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Technology Advanced Diploma program provides students with a solid understanding of aircraft manufacturing operations, aerospace systems, and UAV (Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle) technology. During this three-year program, students will learn to work with KPI's, Continuous Improvement Techniques, Composite Materials and learn a seamless transition through CAD, CAM, and CNC operations.
The Technology option provides students with a strong educational base in aerospace and mechanical engineering technology. This program prepares graduates to function effectively in their chosen career field, with math competencies, develop simulation, FEA, design, build and implement action plans. Graduates will be taught to project plan, lead and participate in multi-disciplined teams, problem solve and understand the impact of manufacturing systems. In addition, students will acquire a specialized knowledge of project management, operations management, process engineering, product life cycle management, troubleshooting and problem-solving.
This course will be offered with hybrid delivery. Hybrid programs combine the best of both worlds: hands-on experience in our labs on campus, and remote access to virtualization software, plus recordings of our laboratory activities. Some courses are held in labs, but the first semester can be completed at a distance for those unable to travel. Students studying hybrid programs in Toronto will have scheduled lab activities on-campus in the fall and winter semesters. Students studying hybrid programs online will have access to new simulation software, virtualization software and recorded virtual lab demonstrations to gain in depth knowledge. If students are unable to travel to Canada, the first semester of 30 programs can be completed online (including online and hybrid options). Lab access is required to complete the Fall 2020 semester. |
