Description:Looking to explore a wide range of academic disciplines? The Academic Studies Diploma is a 60 credit credential. The diploma can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. Guided by their emerging areas of interest, students are invited to select their course of study from an extensive list of lower-level courses. Students can use their diploma credits towards further study at Capilano.

Admission Requirements

  •  Grade12 English 

Applicants are required to have high school graduation (Grade 12). A minimum grade point average of 2.0 (60%) calculated on English Studies 12, or English 12, or English 12 First Peoples, and two academic Grade 12 courses is required.

Application Notes : Capilano English Language Requirement for students whose primary language is not English or have received education in a language other than English: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): paper=560, internet=83, or English Language Assessment (ELA)=145, or International English Language Testing System (Academic IELTS)=6.5 overall, and no one score less than 6, or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)=70, or Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic)=56 or Capilano University EAP 100 and 101 with a minimum B+ grade in each course.
Additional Admission Requirements:

    Current Grade 12 students can be conditionally accepted based on final Grade 11 grades or interim Grade 12 grades. Students can upload proof of grades (e.g. unofficial transcripts, copies of report cards) through EducationPlannerBC when applying to Capilano University. Final acceptance will be based on high school graduation and having met the program specific requirements.
