Students whose first language is not English are required to submit proof of proficiency in English. (Minimum 580 TOEFL, 7 IELTS, and 70 CAEL for full-time admission.) Scores less than 580 (237 computer based) can do language upgrading while enrolling part-time. Transfer students from other universities will have their credits assessed for Dalhousie transfer.
