DescriptionThe aim of the BEd Secondary Education Program is to prepare strong beginning teachers for the secondary school level, and leads to teacher certification. This integrated program consists of academic studies, professional studies, and school-based practicum components. All of this is supported by studies in pedagogy, curriculum and educational foundations. There are 2 options in Social Sciences:

The Secondary Social Sciences – History, Citizenship and Geography program provides students with the learning opportunities needed to become proficient Social Science teachers with a strong knowledge base in History and Geography.

The Secondary Social Sciences - History and Citizenship, Ethics and Religious Culture program provides students with the learning opportunities needed to become proficient Social Science teachers with a strong knowledge base in the associated disciplinary areas.
