DescriptionCentennial College's Health Informatics Technology program will combine core software engineering knowledge and health care information systems. In this advanced technology diploma program's courses, you'll learn to design, develop and maintain the next generation of electronic health record applications and other exciting software products. Under the umbrella of the School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science, this program will cover: object-oriented software design methodologies; user-oriented interface design; the structure of health care information systems; telehealth; clinical workflow and IT solutions; data security; privacy issues within health care systems; and Tools, Algorithms and Methods for Health Care Information Systems.

The coursework in this program will include: C#, Java, Python, SAS, Oracle, MS-SQL Server, Unix/ Linux, .NET Core, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript/Angular, mobile application development, data warehousing and predictive analytics, and BI tools in health care systems. To underscore the curriculum's applied focus, the Health Informatics Technology program will include two software development projects. These real-world business applications will require you to utilize all the technical, systems and business skills gained during your studies.
