Notes for Canadian Students

External agencies, including government and non-profit foundations, offer opportunities for funding through programs that award research grants by peer-reviewed competition. The Research Office is the point of contact for government ministries, industry, associations and foundations for funding, partnerships, grants and contracts in support of research, creative and scholarly activities, including the federal funding agencies known collectively as the “Tri-Council”: the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).

For a list of funding opportunities at TRU, check out the awards and funding page.
