Confederation College has been serving the citizens of Northwestern Ontario since 1967 by meeting the educational needs of students encompassing a catchment area of 550,000 square kilometers. Our main campus is situated on 130 acres of park-style property located in Thunder Bay, (Northwestern) Ontario, Canada. Eight regional campuses are located in the communities of Dryden, Fort Frances, Geraldton, Kenora, Marathon, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout and Wawa.

The Confederation College Wellness Centre is a modern multi-use facility with fitness equipment and spaces to promote students’ health and well-being and to provide a gathering place for students and the community. The Centre opened in September 2017 and boasts Nautilus, Pace & Cardio Equipment, a large and well equipped free weight area, a wellness studio and much more. Visit for more information.


SUCCI proudly presents a wide variety of events, and activities to meet a wide variety of needs and interests. From Social Events planned to give you a chance to meet new people, hang out with friends and be entertained, to Wellness and Diversity Events to educate, raise awareness and engage, and our Campus Recreation Program offers a variety of sports, activities & events that will entice even the non active person to participate.


Confederation College has a variety of clubs to meet a wide spectrum of interests. Clubs on campus enhance student life by providing recreation, athletic, fitness, performance, cultural, social, educational opportunities.

International Involvement

International programs at Confederation College are based on sharing success and knowing that increasing cooperation and competition between countries requires individuals to have a greater appreciation for opportunities in a global market. This understanding is vital to our success, continued prosperity and survival in the global market.

The College operates in conjunction with development agencies, governments and business in Asia, the Pacific Rim, Central and South America, Cuba, Europe and Africa. In the community and region of Thunder Bay, the College has taken representatives from a variety of businesses on several successful Trade Missions.

Links with offshore institutions allow faculty and students to work and study in Japan, the United States, Mexico and Poland. Current international activities are underway in Poland, Jamaica (Entrepreneurship Training), Solomon Islands (Distance Education System), Ghana (Literacy in conjunction with Agroforestry), China (Health Sciences) and Costa Rica (Curriculum and HRD).
