Located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the University of Guelph-Humber is unique among Ontario universities. We are a collaboration between the University of Guelph and Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning (Humber). Our programs draw from the expertise and knowledge of both renowned institutions. In each of the University's seven programs, you earn an honours degree from the University of Guelph and a college diploma from Humber, concurrently, in four years of full-time study in one location.

What makes us unique, and what students value most, is the integration of theory and practical education in each of our programs. At the University of Guelph-Humber, you study a focused curriculum combined with hands-on workplace experience, preparing you for success in your career, professional school and/or graduate program.

We offer seven programs: Business, Community Social Services, Early Childhood Studies, Justice Studies, Kinesiology, Media and Communication Studies, and Psychology.

The University of Guelph-Humber combines focused academic study with hands-on experience to prepare students for the workplace or further education: workplace experience is part of every program. Our student population is 4,900 and our average class size is only 40 students!

Live and learn among students from both the University of Guelph-Humber and Humber. Residence facilities are located just a two-minute walk from the University. As a first-year resident, your room will be single style. You can choose either a co-ed or gender-specific floor. Community kitchens that can be used for group cooking, an exercise room, recreational space, a dining hall and laundry facilities are all available to you. Dining plans are required if you live in residence and you can use your plan at food service outlets across campus. Dining plans come in four sizes: bronze ($2,350), silver ($2,850), gold ($3,400), and platinum ($4,000). Residence fees and dining plans are in Canadian dollars (CAD), and are based on 2023-2024 rates and therefore subject to change.

Our small student population means we'll know you in our student services offices and you'll have easy access to assistance for all your first-year needs: transitioning to university life, meeting other students, financial advice, course selection, placement services, career planning, volunteer opportunities and student employment. Every program has a dedicated Academic Advisor, Liaison Librarian, Career Services Coordinator, Field Placement Coordinator, Program Head and Assistant Program Head in place to support all your program-specific needs.

You can also rely on current students who work alongside staff and are trained to help you. Campus services also include Accessibility Learning Services, Accounting Centre, Black Student Success and Engagement, Campus Store, Centre for Urban Ecology, dental services, Indigenous Education and Engagement, International Centre, Learning Commons (individual and group study areas), LGBTQ+ Resource Centre, Library, Math & Writing Centre, mental health resources, nurses and medical assistance, and peer tutoring.

You will graduate with workplace experience that will guide your career decisions. Every honours degree program has required work placement hours that are built into your regular course of study. You'll be supported by your Field Placement Coordinator to help with your success.

As a student at the University of Guelph-Humber, you can play varsity sports for either the University of Guelph or Humber College. Societies are related to our seven academic programs and offer a realm of activities outside of class. They can help you develop leadership skills, gain professional experience and networking. Societies are run by students for students. Visit our clubs and societies page for more info.

Run through IGNITE (our student government), clubs are social, cultural or interest-based and can change year to year. They are the best way to meet people who share your passions. Clubs target the things you like to do for fun. If you don't find what you're looking for, you can start your own! You will have a personal University of Guelph-Humber email account. Computers are available for use in our Learning Commons area, the Humber Library and computer labs at the University of Guelph-Humber and Humber. You can access our wireless network in the University of Guelph-Humber building.

Toronto is one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Our campus student population reflects that diversity. The International Centre on campus is an excellent resource for students new to Canada. Indigenous Education and Engagement is open to everyone interested in learning about Indigenous peoples. If you are an Indigenous person, Indigenous Education and Engagement can offer you support as you transition to university life. Black Student Success and Engagement provides academic support, leadership and personal and professional development for students who identify as Black, African, Caribbean and African Canadian.

Accessible Learning Services facilitates equal access for students with disabilities by coordinating academic accommodations, assistive technology training and learning supports. Staff work collaboratively with you to ensure that the academic environment is accessible.

As a student at the University of Guelph-Humber, you attend our institution on Humber's North Campus in Toronto. The University is unique because it is a collaboration between the University of Guelph and Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. You earn an honours degree and a diploma at the same time throughout your four years on our campus. When you graduate, you receive an honours degree from the University of Guelph and a diploma from Humber.

In the International Field Study course, you are part of a small group that travels to an international destination on an educational adventure. Through instructor-guided study tours, you experience concepts discussed in class. And because all study abroad courses are partially subsidized by the University, the opportunities are within reach. You may also be eligible for additional travel grants (CAD 1,500 to 2,500). If you participate in one of our international partnerships, you can spend a semester overseas at a foreign university. Here on campus, international faculty will also be coming to you. We are pleased to welcome visiting professors who can share their academic expertise and culture.
