Description:Students in the Electromechanical Engineering Technician - Robotics program will gain a solid foundation in programmable logic controls, microcontrollers and electronics, computer-aided design, mechanical systems, computer and robot programming, and interfacing sensors and actuators. Graduates will be prepared to install, service, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair robots and automated production systems, as well as, related devices, tools, and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Graduates will also be equipped to assist in the application and design of robots and their manufacture and testing.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with the majority of courses at the College (C), University (U), University/College (M) or Open (O) level OR Mature Student status (nineteen years of age or older as of the first day of classes and do not have an OSSD or equivalent) plus: Grade 12 English (C), (U) or (M) Grade 12 Math (C), (U) or (M) (MCT4C is highly recommended) It is highly recommended that applicants successfully complete Grade 12 Physics (C) or (U) to be successful in this program.
