Major Entrance Scholarship:

UBC's Major Entrance Scholarship program offers the most prestigious awards to entering students who have demonstrated academic and leadership achievements, including a one-time award of $5,000 and renewable awards of up to $40,000 payable over four years.

Schulich Leader Scholarship:

The Schulich Leader Scholarship program recognizes students across Canada who demonstrate excellence in academics and community leadership, and plan to study Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. Depending on your program of study, awards range from $15,000-$20,000 annually over four years.

UBC Centennial Scholars Entrance Award:

UBC's Centennial Scholars Entrance Award program supports academically qualified students who would not otherwise be able to attend UBC without significant financial assistance. There are one-time and renewable awards of up to $40,000 payable over four years, as well as opportunities to receive awards that cover up to the full cost of program and living expenses.

International Scholars Program

This award program recognizes outstanding international undergraduate students. Some awards focus on superior academic achievement, leadership skills, and involvement in community service, while others focus on academic achievement under difficult circumstances. Awards are determined by merit and need.

International Major Entrance Scholarship:

UBC’s International Major Entrance Scholarship program offers awards to exceptional international students entering undergraduate programs. Awards are payable up to $10,000 per year for four years.

Outstanding International Student Award:

UBC’s Outstanding International Student Award is a one-time merit-based entrance scholarship awarded to qualified students (consideration is based on grades and Personal Profiles). Award amounts range from $2,500-$10,000.

MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program:

The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program provides academically talented yet economically disadvantaged young people from Sub-Saharan Africa with access to quality and relevant university education at UBC. Award amounts vary.
