Have you ever wondered what college would be like? Would it be like your second home? Would it be easy to make new friends? One thing is for sure, it will be exciting!

Here are some of the best ways to help you make the college campus your home away from home.

Centennial College not only provides its students with a learning experience but also allows students to grow personally and immerse themselves in a diverse campus culture. “Involve yourself in college events. This will help you grow personally, professionally and help you make new friends. I volunteered at many events on campus and really enjoyed having thoughtful conversations with new people and making new friends. I was able to learn from their experiences about the country and city”, says Roohi Lakra, a Public Relations - Corporate Communications student at Centennial College.

“You can experience the cultures of the world here, interact with students from all over the world and the best way to meet new people for me is to just to be yourself, that way you’ll meet people with similar interests and hobbies” says Johnson, a Mechanical Engineering student at Centennial College. Centennial College is home to over 9000 international students from 134 countries where students can be whatever they choose and immerse themselves in a diverse learning environment.

Extracurricular activities help us beat the stress from our studies, I usually hit the gym about three times a week and it helps me relieve stress. The library is a great way to meet new people, make new friends or join a study group. Be sure to attend your orientation; it’s the best way to get to know people”, says Apporva, an international student at Centennial. Extracurricular activities are a big part of student lives whether it’s to meet new people with similar interests and hobbies or to beat the stress from studies. Centennial College provides a wide range of extracurricular activities and clubs ranging from an anime guild to a cycling club, if you can’t find a club of interest, students can create their own clubs based on activities they’re passionate about.

Meeting people and making friends on campus is easier than you think. At Centennial College you’re surrounded by thousands of peers who are open to meeting and talking to new people, you just have to go for it!
