UPEI offers many services designed to ease the transition for our international students!

The University of Prince Edward Island offers students a welcoming environment to learn, be challenged, and prepare them for their careers ahead.

Making the decision to study abroad can be both challenging and exciting. As a high school student, it is hard to know exactly what you want to study or what career path interests you the most. In addition, deciding to move across the world to a new country, a new province, and a new city can be intimidating – UPEI understands this and have program in place to assist you with all of these concerns. We have the International Buddy Program which matches you up with a current UPEI student – your first friend on campus. We also have an airport pick-up program which will take you from the airport right to your dorm room when you arrive on PEI. We also have International Student Orientation each September to welcome new students, guide them around campus, meet faculty, and get to know other new students going through exactly the same thing.

In addition, UPEI feels it is important to reward students for their success. The Florence Simmons UPEI Entrance Scholarships will be granted to students entering their first year of study in an undergraduate program at the University of Prince Edward Island. Successful recipients will have demonstrated good academic standing in the previous year of study. This scholarship is a true indication of our belief in the value of education at the University of Prince Edward Island.
