Moving to a foreign country can be a rewarding experience. It can also be stressful and nerve wracking. St. Lawrence College’s International Student Services is a dedicated group of staff members who speak various languages to help you make the most out of this experience, and to help you adjust and succeed to the best of your ability.

If you plan to continue, or begin your education in Canada, you can take the IELTS English Language Proficiency test. IELTS is the worlds’ most popular English Language proficiency test, and is the preferred English Language test in Canada.

If you need to enhance your English language skills, SLC offers an ESL program designed to immerse students in an interactive English-speaking environment. The program also provides students the opportunity to visit surrounding cities such as Niagara Falls, Ottawa and Toronto.

International students at St. Lawrence College can enroll in 20 programs in spring 2018. This offers students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with their new surroundings, and enjoy the beautiful weather of the summer season. The summer semester will run for 12 weeks beginning in May 2018.

For those arriving to Canada by air, St. Lawrence College offers International Airport Pickup and Accommodation Packages. International students have the option to be picked up by a greeter from the Pearson International Airport in Toronto. Students can then opt to stay in a hotel for three nights in Kingston near the college. This provides enough time for students to arrive in the city, and settle into their permanent accommodations as they see fit.

Once you arrive in Canada, assuming your tuition fees have been payed, the college’s medical insurance plan will cover you.
