Studying abroad can be a daunting yet exciting experience. At SAIT, we get it! As we welcome you to our community, here are some tips and tricks to help you succeed and make the most of campus life while you embrace the Canadian experience, eh! The SAIT campus is packed with activities and services to support your new adventure. Some of the key support centres that we hope you make use of are:

International Centre

The International Centre is committed to supporting international students as you transition into your new environment here in Calgary. We offer pre-arrival webinars covering a variety of topics to help as you embark on the adventure ahead. When you arrive, you should attend International Student Orientation, which is a great opportunity to meet our international student advisors and connect with fellow students. International student advisors provide one-on-one and group support throughout your studies,and help with information specific to your status as an international student at SAIT. The Centre also hosts a number of on and off-campus field trips and fun events throughout the year.

SAIT Students' Association

The student association popularly known as SAITSA is committed to enhancing campus life through school spirit, support and advocacy. Interested in joining a club or starting one of your own? There are tons of clubs on campus which host a variety of events providing leadership opportunities. SAITSA also provides numerous volunteer opportunities and runs a Peer Support Centre and much more. There is never a dull moment on the campus!

Academic and Wellness Support

Academic coaches empower students by offering a host of workshops tailored to support your academic journey from backpack to briefcase. Professional and peer tutors are available to help you sharpen your skills, or you can apply to be a tutor yourself. In addition to academics, your physical and mental health is also of upmost importance to us, and we offer many services to keep you healthy and safe.

Stay connected

There are a ton of activities and events happening around campus, many of which are free. Stay in touch through social media and on-campus bulletin boards to remain in the know on how to make your campus experience truly memorable.We invite all international students to get involved in the campus community!
