2024 Maclean's University Rankings: Engineering Programs

So, how do you know which school has the best program? Maclean’s released their 2024 rankings for Canada’s best engineering programs.

Discover what universities cracked the top 20 in engineering programs. These rankings are based on the school’s program and research reputation.

Unlike last year where the University of British Columbia tied for first with the University of Toronto, this year UofT is the standalone top school for their engineering program. Two new schools are made their way into this year’s top 20 — Memorial University and Simon Fraser University!

As always, don’t base your school decision entirely on rankings. Make sure you consider location, size of the school, campus culture, extracurriculars, and anything else that’s important to you.
